As Chairman, I would encourage as many Hurling and Camogie Players, members, associate members and anyone else interested to attend this RNLI Open Day on 28th February at the Lifeboat Station. Portaferry RNLI are looking for volunteers to join their lifeboat teams and are reaching out to our club for support. Portaferry is a small community and we are very privileged to have and important RNLI station at the Shore front. Portaferry GAC receives tremendous support from the local community and it would be nice to have volunteers that can give something in return to this important service. We all have family members, friends, neighbours or know someone who uses the Lough for recreational, work or commuting purposes and we all understand how important a role the RNLI plays on the water in this area and for Portaferry. You never know when you could be called to rescue someone on the water. If you are interested, please LIKE this page and if you plan to attend on 28th February, please COMMENT so that the station will know numbers attending. Thanks, Paul O’Neill.
